DiamondView Tower - San Diego, CA
DiamondView Tower is located between 9th and 10th Avenues and ‘J’ and ‘K’ Streets immediately adjacent to PETCO Park and The Park at the Park. This 306,750-sf, 15-story structural steel Class ‘A’ office tower provides 14 floors with amazing views to all levels of the stadium, downtown and the bay. The high-rise floors range from 16,600 - 17,350-sf with the low-rise floors offering larger floor plates ranging from 27,600 - 33,700-sf. The first two floors offer 74,250-sf of on-site retail amenities with a “Hall of Fame” style lobby and 3 levels of post-tensioned concrete underground parking.
This dynamic location with fabulous signage opportunities also offers fantastic exposure to the 42,000-seat PETCO Park and actual field views from its office suites. Combining office space and two levels of retail accommodations, DiamondView Tower is the result of a close collaboration between premier local builder Reno Contracting and developer Cisterra Development.
Veterans Affairs Clinic - Oceanside, CA
Reno Contracting constructed the Veterans Affairs Clinic in Oceanside, California. This facility is a two story building and consists of nearly 70,000-sf. It includes departments such as Dental, Radiology, Optometry, Primary Care and Laboratory Services among others. The systems for the departments include Emergency man down notification, Nurse call system in all areas and CCTV for security which is at the top of the VA’s priority list when it comes to patient care. It has essential services for finance and benefits as well in order to better serve the Veterans of the San Diego area. It is a top of the line and new model prototype facility for the entire nation to follow. This facility opened to Veterans in the Summer of 2010.
Marriott Residence Inn - San Diego, CA
The Marriott Residence Inn is located in the heart of San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, the city’s entertainment district. The 240-suite, 13-story sits just blocks away from the San Diego Convention Center and PETCO Park. The San Diego architectural firm of Awbrey Cook McGill designed the hotel which incorporates brick and metal panel exterior finishes that complement the aesthetics of existing structures within the historic warehouse district.
Located at the corner of Sixth Avenue and ‘J’ Street - the extended-stay hotel features classically appointed, all-suite accommodations including kitchenettes, and has more than 8,000-sf of ground-floor retail space and three levels of subterranean parking. Parking is designed for both hotel guests and revenue parking. The 121’-2”, post-tensioned, concrete building includes a street level bar and lounge, meeting rooms, banquet facilities and a rooftop pool and patio overlooking Fifth Avenue.
For this work, Reno Contracting received the 2010 Excellence in Construction Award from the San Diego Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors.
MedImpact - San Diego, CA
The new corporate headquarters of MedImpact consists of one 6-story, 150,000-sf, steel framed building clad with sandstone tile imported from India, custom colored aluminum panels from Korea, punched window openings and a curved 4-story curtain wall system. Also on site is a 184,000-sf, 658 stall, poured-in-place concrete parking structure.
The 6-story main build-out includes a conference center and corporate operations/server room on the 1st floor and executive suites on the 6th floor. Unique features and finishes include custom millwork “portal” entries into the conference room and executive offices, full-height herculite office fronts, and suspended wood plank and fabric wrapped ceilings.
ResMed - San Diego, CA
ResMed Corporate Headquarters, a Class A office facility, was constructed on a 9.77 acre site. The building consists of a 6-story mid- rise complex, attached to a 2-story low rise structure and a 6-level parking garage containing 752 parking stalls. The three structures are attached utilizing expansion joint technology to allow for independent movement along the building connections.
The building incorporates 230,238-sf of total office space. Five high speed traction elevators make flow throughout the building effortless. The interior utilizes high quality finishes in the design. Many technological advanced innovations have also been incorporated into the construction including - sprinkler heads that offer a flex connection, making it much easier and less time consuming to install in precise locations as the design dictated. This facility is the single largest user of this new technology in the California.
