Company Garners Prestigious Award for Downtown San Diego Marriott Residence Inn Project
Reno Contracting is the recipient of a 2010 Excellence in Construction Award from the San Diego Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). The company received the award in the category of Commercial General Contracting / Construction Management, for its work on the Marriott Residence Inn San Diego Downtown/Gaslamp Quarter.

Reno Contracting completed the Marriott Residence Inn project in late 2009. The 13-story, 240-room, 215,890 square foot hotel, located in the Gaslamp district of Downtown San Diego at 6th and J Street near Petco Park, consists of multi-level subterranean parking beneath a high-rise tower and West wing with a 3rd floor pool over future retail space. The 21-month project was designed by ACM Architects and Engineered by DCI Engineers.
Reno’s Contracting’s Marriott Residence Inn project is now entered into the ABC National Excellence in Construction Awards competition. Considered the construction industry’s premier annual awards program, ABC’s national competition recognizes outstanding projects across the nation. A panel of judges representing a cross section of construction industry experts, including owners, architects, engineers and other industry leaders chooses award recipients.
